Kamila is an attorney with thirty years of experience, guided by a strong commitment to social justice and client-centered legal representation. Trained at New College of California School of Law, she was influenced by her professor and the school’s president, Peter Gabel. He was a founder of the Critical Legal Studies movement, and his teachings continue to shape Kamila’s approach to her law practice as a tool for client empowerment and meaningful social change.
Kamila began her career as a public defender before transitioning to advocacy and counseling for victims of hate crimes and domestic violence at a leading nonprofit organization. She also has experience working on appellate cases involving serious felony convictions, including Three Strikes cases. In 2012, she founded her own law practice in Santa Rosa that focused on estate planning, trust administration, probate, small business and non-profit formations. She is currently legal counsel for a Sonoma County nonprofit.
